Ep #272: Is Perfectionism Paralyzing You?

The Design You Podcast Tobi Fairley | Is Perfectionism Paralyzing You?

Perfectionism is the thing I coach creatives on the most. So, it’s time for a reminder of what perfectionism is doing to our businesses and our lives, and how being paralyzed by perfectionism is holding us back without us realizing it’s happening.

Perfectionism is the enemy of progress and creativity. Creativity needs you to try some things, see if they work, and not be afraid of failure in the process. However, perfectionism keeps you taking zero action while stuck in exhausting thought loops. If this sounds familiar, this episode is for you because I’m showing you what you can do instead.

Tune in this week to discover what to do if perfectionism is paralyzing you. I’m sharing the lessons we’ve been taught that have pointed us toward perfectionism, why overcoming perfectionism isn’t about doing a half-hearted job, and I’m showing you what you can do instead to show up and make progress while leaving perfectionism behind.
