What It Means to Show Up for Yourself

Hello there!

How many times do you start a new year with the exact same goals you had the year before? It happens a lot and today I want to tell you why this happens—and even better, how to change this pattern.

Here’s the thing: we often don’t show up for ourselves. We show up for everyone else in our lives, but when it comes to the commitments we make to ourselves, they’re much easier to break. When we give our word to ourselves, it’s sort of tentative. It becomes: Oh, I’ll do that after I take care of everybody else, when I have the time. And this is exactly why our goals keep getting pushed back!

If you want to start achieving your goals, you’ve got to start consistently keeping your word to yourself and showing up for yourself so you aren’t facing the same goals over and over and over again. And there’s a concept called the minimum baseline that will get you there. I’ve applied it in my own life and I’ve been totally amazed at the results. I finally was able to meet goals I’d had on my list for years.

It doesn’t matter if this is about your health and wellness, life, or business—starting with the minimum baseline until it’s a consistent habit is the way you’ll finally stop having the same goals in your life and business year after year.

If you want to learn how to show up for yourself and really tackle your goals, I highly recommend you watch this video and start implementing this practice today.

What You’ll Learn:

  • Why we don’t show up for ourselves
  • Where self-doubt comes from (and how to get rid of it)
  • How to figure out what’s keeping you from what you want
  • Exactly how to take action (and what the minimum baseline is!)

So, what do you think? Does this sound crazy to you? Are you wondering why you should only show up for 5 minutes? I know it’s a different approach, but that’s how minimum baseline works. And I promise it’s the key to finally crossing those goals you’ve been wanting to achieve forever off your to do list.

If you want help showing up for yourself—and you want to work on your next goal, then I have something for you. You need my Minimum Baseline Guide—it’s a free worksheet that helps you figure out what you really want and what’s standing in your way, as well as how you can take small actions each and everyday to achieve the goals you’ve been putting off. And if you want even more guidance from me, listen to Episode #18 on the DesignYou podcast to dig even deeper into idea of minimum baseline and showing up for yourself.

Now, it’s your turn. In the comments below, tell me if you think this is all silly, or if you’re willing to try this out for 30 days. Let’s have a conversation about this! I want to hear what comes up for you.

It’s time to start showing up for YOU!
