For most of us, the definition of success is always what someone else told us. Cultural expectations and obligations are often unrealistic and unsustainable and have us working harder and doing things that go against what we truly desire. But you get to decide what success looks like for you, and it’s time to start considering what it looks like in your life.
We have been trained to think that doing more work equals more money, but this isn’t necessarily true. The current definition of success can actually prevent us from financial abundance. It can be exhausting to pull off society’s definition of success, so I am opting out. Instead, I’m redefining success in a way that works for me, and showing you how to do the same.
In this episode, I’m digging deeper into our thoughts around workloads, schedules, and obligations and encouraging you to consider where you are trying to force yourself to be successful in a way you don’t enjoy. I’m showing you how to see where you are saying yes to obligations that drain and fatigue you and some tips to help you start redefining and generating success in a way that is aligned with your values and desires.
