Cottage Dreaming

Posted by

For some reason, I always dream of having a weekend cottage this time of the year. Especially on Sunday Afternoons when the sun is streaming in through our windows at home.

This year my dream cottage seems to be all white…

Isn’t it interesting that a girl who LOVES color is dreaming about a place that has none? Do you have a dream getaway? Tell me what it is.

I’ll be telling you about more of my dreams this week so don’t go away.

xo,

And speaking of dreams, if you’ve been dreaming about coming to one of my Camp Tobi Fairley events, then you’re in luck. We just announced our next 2 camp dates including an all new camp on Getting Published!

I could move in today but I would need to replace the two sofas in front of the fireplace for two “comfy” sofas that we could really curl into. Everything else is perfect and dreamy. It’s time to map out my next Flea Market trip!!!

Could you share what magazine the bedroom with bench (15th picture)
was from? I love that wall of closets which I am trying to design for
our bedroom. Thank you. Love your design taste!! We have a summer
home and I keep adding blasts of color. The Design Showcase Home you
did in the Hamptons with the green and white print on the headboard was fantastic!

  6. Love it! It’s clean and fresh. Great mix of styles too!

I love the West Coast beach feel of the first living room shot and the HouseBeautiful kitchen photo. Definitely makes me think of living around Crescent Beach in White Rock here in BC.

  8. Tobi, these photos are soooo wonderful! I enjoyed every one of them; dreamy! Like you, I used to LOVE color and I decorated my own cottage style homes in bright living color, but over the past three years I too have gone to all white and neutrals for my own “urban cottage” home. Like you, I was seeking simplicity and serenity. I enjoy your blog and beautiful design work; thank you for sharing it! Sincerely, Kathryn :)
