28 Days of Love: Day Six – Green Smoothies

Posted by

Today (and every day) I LOVE my green smoothies! It’s a fresh and healthy way to greet the day and show gratitude to your body for carrying you through this world. On my journey to better health and weight loss, I have truly realized that our eating and exercise habits are closely-tied to our self-love. Taking care of your body is a way to give thanks each and every day by embracing health. Health isn’t just some lofty goal that you have to strive for, a distant dream. If you accept your goodness and worthiness, you will WANT to give your body what it needs most. Each time you eat you’re sending a message to yourself, and if you’re fueling your body with whole foods the message is “I love you!”

Here’s MY favorite recipe for a green smoothie:

1 cup Almond Milk

1 cup baby spinach

1 Tablespoon natural creamy peanut butter

1 medium banana (sliced and frozen ahead of time)

Blend it all up and ENJOY!! The frozen banana replaces the ice and keeps from watering-down the delicious flavor of this nutritious treat!! And at 237 calories, it’s a no-brainer for any weight loss regimen, too.

What message are YOU sending to YOU today?

Try that green smoothie and let me know what you think!

This is my favorite green smoothie too! Although I use natural almond butter instead of peanut butter to make it taste extra almond-y. YUM!

  2. Great! Thanks for the recipe…can’t wait to try it!
