Today (and every day) I LOVE my green smoothies! It’s a fresh and healthy way to greet the day and show gratitude to your body for carrying you through this world. On my journey to better health and weight loss, I have truly realized that our eating and exercise habits are closely-tied to our self-love. Taking care of your body is a way to give thanks each and every day by embracing health. Health isn’t just some lofty goal that you have to strive for, a distant dream. If you accept your goodness and worthiness, you will WANT to give your body what it needs most. Each time you eat you’re sending a message to yourself, and if you’re fueling your body with whole foods the message is “I love you!”
Here’s MY favorite recipe for a green smoothie:
1 cup Almond Milk
1 cup baby spinach
1 Tablespoon natural creamy peanut butter
1 medium banana (sliced and frozen ahead of time)
Blend it all up and ENJOY!! The frozen banana replaces the ice and keeps from watering-down the delicious flavor of this nutritious treat!! And at 237 calories, it’s a no-brainer for any weight loss regimen, too.
