Earlier this year, I fell in love with this sketch by Stacy Naquin of Stacy Naquin Interiors. Stacy is a member of my Mastermind group and after chatting with her about the sketch I learned she had originally created it using an Olioboard composition and a tracing technique similar to the one I teach in my Design Camps.
Here’s what the original board looked like…
As you can see Olioboard does an awesome job of pulling all the pieces together from various web resources. However, I think Stacy really made this project shine by going the extra step and using the tracing technique to bring it to life!
Speaking of Olioboard, have you heard about their awesome contest to select the 9th Style Spotter for High Point Market this fall??
15 top designers are vying for the title — including these three Mastermind group members! Click the images below to vote for your favorite.
Intrigued by Stacy Naquin’s first sketch in this post? Join me for Design Camp A to Z this November 7-9. I’ll teach you all the basics of creating an amazing room in this hands-on course — plus, there’s an entire step of this course devoted to learning the sketching technique she used to create this beautiful rendering.
