Day 9: Instagram

Posted by

You know the old saying “a picture is worth a thousand words.” Well, if you believe that (and I whole-heartedly do!), you could say I’ve been busy writing a few novels recently with all my Instagram posts.

Why I Love It: It’s like Pinterest (highly visual) meets Facebook (you follow your friends or brands you love) meets Twitter (you can share brief captions and use hash tags). In short, it’s awesome and really allows you to share a “snapshot” of your day in just a few seconds. You can also link the app to your Facebook or Twitter account to share images there, too. Here are a few of my recent posts, including my birthday cupcake, our beloved family dog and my favorite makings for an afternoon tea party.

Oh yeah, and I didn’t even mention the best part — the filters. As you may have noticed, for any picture you take, you can choose from about 20 cool filters that will make the image black-and-white, sepia-toned or just give it a fun border. These are a few of my favorite filters…

The Kelvin Filter:

The Lo-Fi Filter:

The Nashville Filter:

Who to Follow: For fun, newsworthy or simply glamorous images, these are a few of my favorite users to follow (usernames):

  • katespadeny
  • glitterguide
  • mashable
  • matchbookmag
  • todayshow

I’d love for you to follow me (tobifairley), too!

Where to Find It: Available for your iPhone and iPad on the App Store. I hear it’s coming soon to Android as well…

Here’s to gorgeous snapshots!
