Day 8: Dining in the Hamptons

Posted by

Yesterday I told you about one of my favorite designers who has a couple of storefronts in the Hamptons. Sharing that reminded me of all the other great things I love to enjoy when I travel there, like the amazing food!!

Here are a few restaurants that top my list. I hope you’ll leave a comment to share some of your favorites, too!

First, when I’m feeling a bit French, Pierre’s in Bridgehampton is the go-to place. It is one of the most unique and special places I have encountered and I make it a top priority to visit whenever I’m in the area.

And it’s not just dinner dishes like the Saumon poêlé aux lentilles du Puy et lardons, le patisseries (like the ones shown above) will truly make you feel like you’ve been transported to Paris.

If you were with me for Day 6 of this 29 Days of Love series, you know afternoon tea is another love of mine. Sant Ambroeus is hands-down the most precious spot in Southampton to take your tea. You’ll love their tea sandwiches and foccaccia. Mmmm – I can almost taste it now!

Finally, sometimes you’re just in the mood for a juicy steak and an historically magic atmosphere.

If that’s the case, I suggest visiting The Palm at Huntting Inn. Although, it was opened almost 55 years after the original NYC location, the food and ambiance are just as enchanting. If you visit, consider staying at Huntting Inn. It’s such a charming place!

    Tobi,
You’ve got the Hamptons covered. Pierre’s is always a good bet, if you can get a table! The Palm in East Hampton is one of my absolute favorite places….I love the vibe there! Will I see you in the Hamptons this summer?

  5. Donna Vining says:

Thanks for sharing some amazing food to go and taste in the Hamptons!

  6. Afternoon tea. I like that… It’s a civilized ritual that we all should give consideration to bringing back. Surly the world can wait 15 to 30 minutes while we all collectively recenter.

Do you think we can start a movement???

    Cheers,
    John

  7. Makes me wish I was going there for the weekend!
