Thanksgiving Tables

Posted by

The holidays are a woderful time to get the family together for a festive feast but sometimes our ambition and all those extra guests can be overwhelming. Today I would like to show you a few easy ways to take your Thanksgiving table to the next level.

I love these clever little wishbone napkin rings from Martha Stewart. They are such a cute way to add a little whimsy to your holiday table and this little craft project could be fun for the kiddies too!

A basket filled with pears and greenery is an easy way to dress up your table and is a nice alternative to the traditonal pumpkin and gourd centerpieces. This is a great option for the hostess in a hurry because it requires very little prep.

Turkey transferware or other seasonal dishes are a beautiful and easy way to spruce up any table. If  you can’t find a complete set try mix matching  or just incorporate a couple of serving pieces into whatever you typically use.

Well…I’m “thinking about” brown wrapping paper to cover the table (little ones can draw “hand turkey”) with gold chargers, merlot transferware dishes, gold accent cutley, auburgine “anything” in hollowed out gold gilded pumpkin (I did Martha’s template for name tags..) etc. etc. etc. :-D franki

Love the Napkin Rings Tobi! With a large family we have developed a system of sharing & buy table settings accordingly. Just yesterday, my sister called to borrow 12 settings of china, 16 chargers & 1 large coffee pot! We will be doing a blog post about family (& friends) sharing of China & Silver on Monday, 11/21.
