Hello everyone! I’m Abbe Fenimore from Studio Ten 25 Interiors in Dallas, TX and am also the owner of the online chic boutique, Shop Ten 25. I was beyond excited when Tobi asked me to guest blog, especially when “All American” was the theme. I loved growing up in a military family and am a supporter of “Made in the USA”. When we buy American we support not only American manufacturers but also American workers, safe working conditions, and help keep the American economy growing. Here are my top five All-American products. I have used all of these products in my design projects and even in my own home.
The colors and prints in Maxwell’s collection are modern, graphic and work with a variety of decor styles. Christen launched her collection of textiles in 2010 and the beauties have a fabulous modern look. Her passion for contributing to a pure world, supporting regional manufactures & proving that American made designs can be top notch is why I love her collection so much. You can see her latest pieces at SHOP TEN 25.
KIMBERLY LEWIS HOME:
Earlier this year, Kimberly Lewis launched her own line of boutique wallpaper. The collection is designed in Brooklyn, NY and produced in the USA not far from her studio. I first spotted her line at ICFF in NYC this past May and have been trying to find the perfect project to use one of her patterns.
The current line includes four patterns with two color ways each. My favorite part…the bubbly descriptions that she has given each pattern. Here are my favorites: A nod to the era of mad men and pencil skirts, a classic chevron that is cheeky, swinging London and colors drawn from the architecture of New Orleans.
OLD HICKORY TANNERY:
Western furniture produced by Old Hickory Tannery is known to be the finest quality leather furniture in the world and it is made right here in the USA. Their craftsmen use time honored techniques and cutting edge design to offer outstanding cowhide and leather sofas, chairs, barstools and an array of specialty items. Each created with attention to detail and superior workmanship. Although most of the pieces are typically available through the trade only, you can snag your very own chic versions of OHT at Horchow and Neiman Marcus.

ROOM & BOARD:
I love Room & Board’s reason for supporting American Made pieces. “We want you to love your furniture and feel good about the way it’s made. That’s why we’ve been supporting American craftspeople and manufacturers for more than 25 years.”
They support American companies by partnering with small, family-owned companies that share their passion for the art of furniture making. These companies combine handcrafting techniques with innovative technology to create beautiful furnishings that last a lifetime.

MOD GREEN POD:
Organic cotton upholstery weight canvas all made in the United States from certified Texas organic cotton. Their first collection was launched in spring 2006, with the funky and flirty signature print “Butterfly Jubilee.” The designs are all printed with non-toxic pigments on 100% certified-organic cotton grown in the United States. A visit to textile mills has motivated owner Nancy Mims to continue to produce domestically. “My dream is to help our old mills go green and revive production in the US. We could bring back jobs and clean up the textile industry at the same time.”

We are a big fan of Mod Green Pod around the Fenimore household too! The girls each have their own bed made from Mod Green Pod fabrics, but as you can see they like to share!
