  1. I have just renovated my kitchen which is approx. 17 x 17 with a den included approx. 20 x 20 feet…the walls are painted a moka colour with white mouldings everywhere and the kitchen cabinets are a rich ivory cream with chrome round base and octagonal crystal knobs on the doors. Upper and lower cabinetry is all cream ivory with crystal knobs, the granite on the counters and the island which measures 7 FEET 4 INCHES BY 4 FEET 3 INCHES IS IN ANTIQUE BROWN, (a combination of chocolat and black). The island furniture is a chocolat expresso so dark it looks like black. the fron of the island has doors touch latch contemporary look and the inner island on the other side which we dont see until you go around it has drawers for pots and has glass and chrome handles. Our huge problem has been what to put as a backsplash: stainless steel tiles with alternating dark chocolat squares, glass tiles which colour…were at a road block and as well we must have atleast 24 pot lights in the ceiling with 2 light fixtures to be placed above the island. (I was thinking of 2 crystal chandeliers to tie in with the crystal knobs and glass handles …What do you think? We wanted to achieve a contemporary look…ecclectic? In the den which makes the kitchen and den one enormous room, the furniture is ivory leather more contemporary. The flooring in the kitchen part are 24 x 24 inch cream ivory tiles like the kitchen cupboard doors and the adjoining floor in the den is a dark chocolat stained brazilian walnut wood floor. By the way, some kitchen cabinets have glass inserts for crystal and glassware and lighten up the “massiveness” of the many cupboards on 3 walls. Need your help, almost finished but, I dont want to make a mistake???

PS. LOVE YOUR WORK SO MUCH, YOURE AMAZING.

I have a small but wonderful bedroom that is decorated in creams and greens with all the wood pieces being a warm mahogany finish. I am interested in painting at least one piece to break up all the sameness but am unsure which piece or pieces would make the most sense. None of the pieces are part of a matched set so I already have some interest from that combination.

    Hi Tobi,
I have seen pictures on several blogs of the beautiful kitchen you designed for the ‘Pleasant Valley’ residence. Beautiful,I love it!I was wondering if you would like to share the color combo used or to suggest a similar color scheme.
Some suggested that the top cabinets are painted in SW Wool Skein and the walls in Shoji White .
    Thank you very much,
    Aurelia, Toronto
