You all know I love a dramatic before and after comparison. Well, this is one of my favorites. See how I took this cramped family room, breakfast room and kitchen combination to a space that is uncluttered with clean lines and a cool and relaxing color palette.

Wow!!! Tobi, what an amazing difference! This client has to be incredibly grateful, you completely transformed a builder’s grade property and turned it into something that oozes both style and confidence. Well done! Did you use the existing kitchen cabinets and build off of them?
Tobi it looks beautiful!
Jaw dropping really! So bummed I can’t make design camp. Lots of madness going on around here.
Love, love, love the color scheme especially the fabric on the window treatments! Who makes that? It’s heaven.
Wow, beautiful transformation…just stunning! Your work is amazing.
Tobi I love it!! I agree, adore seeing before and after transformations!!

What an incredible transformation!! I adore every inch of it!
Lovely as usual! Looks like a completely different home.
Hi Tobi,
The before and after you posted today is stunning! Where can I find that amazing blue polka dotted fabric you used for the dining chairs? I am in love!
i adore that kitchen.
the cabinets and green subway tiles are my favs. Seeing the “before” makes it that much more beautiful!
Hi Tobi, this is the story of Cinderella going to the ball and meeting the Prince, actually this time she met the Princess of design…you. Brava! Have you read my article on Milan for The Address Magazine? Hope you like it. Ciao! your friend from Vancouver.
Absolutely beautiful Tobi! Breathtaking!
Thanks Everyone for your lovely compliments! So glad you loved it. The drapery fabric is the Suzanne Rheinstein collection for Lee Jofa and the polka dot is by Jane Churchill for Cowtan and Tout. Again, thank you for the tremendous response. It really is one of my favorite makeovers! xoxo
The first words out of my mouth were not original…”WOW”. That seems to sum it up. The transformation is amazing. The clients must be thrilled. I would be!!!

Tobi, you’re brilliant!
Wow! I’m amazed! One question. Everytime I mention wanting to put hardwood floors in my kitchens, my parents tell me what a bad idea it is. Yet I’ve see it so many times. What are the pros and cons of hardwood in the kitchen??
Thanks!
Brittany McCanna
PS-I need those…green “things” in the family room.

This is gorgeous! Just spectacular. Can you please tell me where you sourced the lamps? I may need a pair for my home!
I love the fabrics in the FR too. Please share.
Hi Everyone, thanks for your comments. Most of the links to the sources are in my November features here on my blog. There are also source lists on the At Home in Arkansas website story called room refresher. And I listed the fabric info in a comment here yesterday as well. Happy Shopping! xo, Tobi
love, love, LOVE!!
Hi Tobi, I love it! I am visiting from House of Turquoise and love this post! Any chance you could tell me where the drapery fabric came from? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I love the color of the subway tiles and the addition to the cabinetry up top — makes such a difference in the height of the space. What happened to the televison? Curious if it is hidden somewhere. The fabric choices are just devine.
I am dying over that fabric on the chairs, awesome!

Okay, this is drop-dea GORGEOUS! I have similar white cabs and would LOVE to do this. The added height just seems to make the ceilings look so much taller, and the colors you used … GAH. Love. I repeat, love.
Wow! I just saw this on Hooked on Houses, and your kitchen looks great! I love the backsplash and all the fabrics you chose. Really looks fantastic.
Hi Tobi,
I’m Donna from Utah’s daughter. I am in love with this room. My husband & I updated our kitchen cabinets to white from that 80 oak color this summer. This is giving me furhter inspiration! Thank you!
wonder what the backsplash tile is. Can you please let me know. I love this! The before….. is my kitchen now.
