Day 7 of Things I Love:Yoga

Posted by

Yoga has changed my life! I can’t believe I waited so long to discover it’s healing powers! I have been practicing for just over a year and I can’t remember my life without it! For high-strung, workaholic, entrepreneurs like me, it is a saving grace!!

In my next house, I plan to have a yoga studio! Just a place for me to go and find peace and calmness every morning and every night! This room that my friend Garry designed for the Arkansas Symphony Designer House in 2005 is just the sort of space I am dreaming about! And ironically today is Garry’s birthday! So Happy Birthday Garry and thanks for creating inspiring spaces for me to dream about!

If you haven’t discovered yoga yet I have to ask…”what are you waiting for?” Now I’m off to yoga, See you tomorrow!

Namaste

I love yoga! These days though I only do a posture now and then…, but I actually am a certified yoga instructor and one of the best things I ever did all by myself was going on a 3 months yoga retreat on Paradise Island in the Bahamas over the winter.

Christy Turlington is the woman to show when it comes to Yoga that’s for sure. I love your idea of a month of things you love!! Do you have the list already or do they come to you as you do them? Beautiful.

  3. I am right there with you! My class starts at noon today, so I am on my way.

  4. Tobi, we are definitely on the same page. Many years ago I was a regular yogi but family, moves etc. made it difficult. Then about 3 years ago I was t-boned by a Escalade, and he won! My neck and back required some PT and then I moved to yoga. It truly saved me, my spirit and my body.
    Namaste to you as well.
Love your top 30 so far.
    Warm regards, Faith

Love it. I’ve been practicing yoga for about the same amount of time, and it’s so helpful in life and living! The only thing I would add to the room is a toddler-proof mechanical locking system! LOL!

  6. Tobi says:

Thank you all for your comments! Glad to know you all are my fellow yogis! We should all get togheter for a retreat…seriously!! There is actually one in Arkansas, believe it or not, in November if any of you ladies are interested. It is called the women in balance retreat and is a weekend of spa, yoga, hiking and delicous but healthy meals! It is in the mountains, on a lake and there is a lot of time spent in front of the fire. We could make it a blog or twitter retreat too! Let me know if any of you are takers! They only take about 40 people and it fills up fast!! Dates are around Nov. 7-8 but I can get more specific if I need to! xoxo Tobi

  7. Just read this yoga post! I started practicing yoga earlier this year. LOVE it. The studio I attend is lovely and eco-friendly. I even blogged about it:
