A Fall Walk to Remember
This afternoon was gorgeous and perfect for being outside with my daughter. I just returned today from a fabulous weekend retreat full of yoga, meditation, hiking and healthy eating and I wanted to share some of the things I learned with my daughter, so what better place to teach her that in nature.
We spent time learning to ride her bike, laying on our backs in the yard looking into the clouds for animal shapes, and searching the neighborhood for gorgeous and inspiring things in nature with a little game of I spy.
Though only 4 years old, my daughter is very creative and obviously a budding photographer. I thought I would share our photo journal of our serene afternoon. She actually took more than half of these photos herself without any help from me (though a great camera definitely helps!) I hope you are inspired by the gorgeous colors and textures that inspired us.
And during this time of Thanksgiving for us, we decided to start a list of the many things that we are grateful for. On the top of our list…flowers, trees, clouds, sunshine, family and friends.
We look forward to working on our list each day until Thanksgiving when we will read it together. I think this will be a new Fall tradition for us that we can look forward to each year.
I hope you can spend some gorgeous days in nature this time of year and be reminded, like we were, of our many, many blessings.
Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Fall.

Time with family is the most precious time you spend! Love the post - made me miss my boys away in college even more!
