It is finally here…my favorite time of the year!! Though it gets here faster and faster each year, once it arrives it seems like a blink of an eye and it is gone!! We hardly even get to enjoy it with our busy schedules and obligations. But for me, this year, I am vowing for it to be different. I intend to reflect on the wonderful past year, my present successes and my exciting plans for the future. I plan to share these things with the people that are most important to me. I am making a promise to myself to take the time this holiday season to enjoy life, count my many blessings and cherish the people who helped make them!
I am going to take some days off just to go shopping with my mom, have lunch with friends and make beautiful cookies and treats with my daughter. I want to make time to teach her the pleasure of sharing these gifts and goodies with others and the care and love that goes into a beautifully wrapped package. These are the things that we always say that we are going to do but just never make the time! In fact, I am going to call and schedule some of these fun events this very afternoon, just so I don’t put it off until, once again, the season has passed me and my good intentions by.
And as far as my blogging goes this month, I intend to have this same focus on past, present, and future. I will be reflecting on some of the beautiful projects that we completed this year, I will follow the present progress on our new facility by starting a monthly photo diary of the project, and I will bring to you design ideas and organizing tips that will take you into a successful future for 2009 and beyond.
And to start it all off, here is a little reminiscing about the past. Take a look at these former holiday decorating projects from my previous home. Hopefully they will bring to your mind a few Christmas pasts, help you embrace the present holiday season and inspire you to enjoy life to its fullest in the future!! Merry Christmas!!
Our family tree…Fun and colorful for our new addition to the family in 2005!
And my baby girl’s first tree in her own nursery that same year! How Sweet!!!
