Sunday Showcase: Jan Showers

One of my all-time favorite designers is the lovely and fabulous designer, Jan Showers!  She truly has a style all her own.  With elegant lines and sophisticated approaches to classic designs, Jan creates some of the most beautiful pieces I’ve ever seen!! Today I am showcasing some of my favorite rooms as well as furniture and lighting designs in her collection.  I have used many of these in my clients’ homes and they are truly a work of art!

I absolutely LOVE this room!  Everything from the drapes to the concentric square pillows on the banquette!!Jan used the Palm Beach Banquette for this elegant and sophisticated look!

I think these lamps are to-die-for! Each one is unique and a focal point for any room!

Jan used the Miles Lamp in white on this server, but look at this gorgeous golden color that is also available!

Now let’s take a look at a few of my favorite pieces in Jan’s furniture and lighting collection:

Elizabeth Chandelier

Venetian Series #3 (other fabulous colors available!)

Harrison Coffee Table

Plaza Desk

Villa Chair

Manhattan Side Table

Now that I’ve given you a sneak peek at the world of Jan Showers, hop on over to her website and check out the rest of her Interior Design Portfolio and Collections!!

By the way, did I mention she also has a “Glamorous” book?!  This is a MUST-read!  It’s rightfully titled, Glamorous RoomsJan Showers

I hope you’ve enjoyed my feature on the fabulous Jan Showers!

It’s Sunday night, I’m having a glass of wine after driving my son back to college, approximately 8 1/2 hrs. roundtrip. I was so delighted to come home and relax and read your blog. Thanks for sharing Jan’s designs. I truly enjoyed them and her humor.

Love love love Jan Showers! I often reference her work when working on my own projects. I was thrilled when her furniture line showed up at A Rudin in NYC and I use several of her pieces fairly frequently…especially the Palm Beach banquette. The harrison coffee table is next on my list, absolutely must have. Thanks for sharing!

I have loved that Manhattan side table for a while now..someday I hope. thanks for all the lovely photos including the one of Jan. I enjoyed hearing her speak at last year’s Design bloggers conference

  7. I just love Jan Showers! Her designs are really remarkable. She was one of the first designers that really inspired me … and I love her furniture and lighting designs!!

  8. That Elizabeth chandelier is lovely! As are all of the pieces. There s not a single one that I would happily live with. What I really appreciate, Toby, is your generous nature — to showcase and share praise for the work of others in your field. I think that positive, open attitude can be seen in your work, too.

  9. correction: there’s not a single one that I would NOT happily live with.
