It’s time for another installment of What’s Inspiring TFID? Once again I’ve asked my staff to share with you what’s inspiring them out in the world today. Here are their picks in their own words.
ASHLEY L. (Tobi’s Assistant): “I am in love with oxfords lately. I like these from J. Crew. I think they are great for the transition from Winter to Spring and would be perfect paired with tailored shorts.”
BROOKE (Chief Operating Officer): “SXSW in Austin- features five days of compelling presentations from the brightest minds in emerging technology. Although I go with my husband on business every year, I learn tons of great information and am inspired by the people I meet and the things I see!”
MARGARET (Order Processing/Installations): “Fond memories of a childhood spent in France and the French sidewalk café are my inspirations for redesigning my kitchen.”
ASHLEY M. (Design Assistant): “Rain, Rain, go away! I want to wear this Panama hat. Super cute, always chic, and keeps nasty UV rays away.”
BART (Warehouse Mgr.): “This is my inspiration for my current backyard project. Complete with kitchen, lounge area and multi-media center, it will be quite the entertainment area! I will eventually be playing my congas along to 4000 songs from my music library while cooking steaks and watching a ballgame! Neighbors beware!”
KATHRYN (Design Assistant): “I’m feeling inspired by my favorite candle, Capri Blue: Volcano, by Anthropologie. With hints of tropical fruits, sugared oranges, lemons, limes, and more, it’s sweet and refreshing aroma fills my whole room like sunshine and burns for 100 hours!”
BRITTANY (Designer): “Right now I’m feeling inspired by vintage furniture and accessories mixed with new pieces, lacquered furniture and navy paired with peach.”
LANDON (Designer): “Her Majesty’s carpenter nephew, the Viscount Linley, has interjected a bit of brilliant colour in his offerings with the introduction of these pieces. Composed of a triform walnut base with an embossed leather top, these tray tables from Linley are quite lovely.”
TOBI: “The sassy calling cards from pixelimpress on Etsy are so chic! Patterns like chevrons, ikats and stripes are paired with all the colors I love. Notecards, gift cards and calendars are also available. Y’all have to check these out!”
