According to @breastcancerorg, "About 1 in 8 U.S.

According to @breastcancerorg, "About 1 in 8 U.S. women (about 13%) will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime."

And as some of you may or may not know, supporting breast cancer awareness is something I feel VERY strongly about.

My husband's mother died of breast cancer at age 51 when he was 17. That's one year older than I am now which is eye-opening now that I've reached this age.

What can we do to spread awareness? Here are two ways we can make a change:

➡️ Donate to organizations like NationalBreastCancer.Org to provide life-saving mammograms to women in need.

➡️ Share, like, re-post and engage with Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or LinkedIn posts about breast cancer awareness

When it comes to visibility in media, confidence is KEY...but having confidence is easier said than done.

So the question is... how do we, as women uplift ourselves, gain confidence and kick society's patriarchal ass?

Here are a couple of things you can work on:

➡️ Be conscious of your own thoughts. As the fabulous fashion influencer @iambeauticurve would say, "A lot of times it’s self-inflicted judgment." And it's time to step out of that.

➡️ STOP measuring your worth by the scale. However much you weigh it doesn’t have anything to do with your worth as a person and how much space you take up in the world.

I know that society has told women what we should look like, but we don't have to listen and it starts with our own thoughts. Our worth is not our image, it's in our determination to be great, beautiful and powerful beings.

Time is of the essence... so how can you feel like

Time is of the essence... so how can you feel like you have more of it?

In his book, Essentialism, @gregorymckeown says the goal is to make one decision that eliminates 1000 other decisions.

How do you do that?

➡️ By making strong unwavering decisions. There's no room for second-guessing or regretting and changing your mind.

➡️ Not waiting to take action. Doing things at that moment in time is the best way to create it! Don’t think about it or talk about it. Just do it.

➡️ PLAN. Decisions made in advance are even more powerful than decisions made at the moment. If you plan your schedule (including personal time) you'll eliminate hours of discussion, weighing options, and doubt.

➡️ Stick to your word. You must keep your word to yourself which is often not easy for a lot of us but will keep you from doubling back on work, plans, or anything else you have scheduled.

And the biggest one of them all...failing.

➡️ Failing eliminates the need to get stuck in indecision. When you fail you can troubleshoot what does and doesn't work. Trying not to fail, wastes hours of trying to figure out how to best reach a goal and there is never a guarantee that you won’t fail anyway. So do yourself a favor, and fail quickly.
