Our brains are powerful things. Research shows that we think somewhere between 12,000 and 50,000 thoughts per day!

Many of us get caught up in negative thoughts and feel like we can’t find a way out of this type of thinking. Maybe you feel like you’re not good enough, you’re never going to be able to grow your business, or that you don't have enough time, or insert whatever it is you worry about here.

We all struggle with negative thoughts and I’m here to tell you, I do too. It wasn’t until I truly learned the power of positive thinking that everything changed for me, both in my personal life and in my business.

The truth is: Thoughts drive everything we do. You think a thought, it causes a feeling, which causes you to take an action (or an inaction) and from there, you get every single result in your life.

When you think positive thoughts, you’ll have a positive mindset. And the same is true for negative thoughts. When you get stuck in a cycle of negative thoughts, you’ll have a mindset that isn’t going to get you the results you want to see.

But what you may not realize is that all thoughts, and therefore beliefs, are optional, even though they often don’t seem like they are. That’s right—your thoughts are optional! Doesn’t that blow your mind?

There's an intensity to our lives now that needs to be balanced with something restful, like a great night's sleep!

We all know we need sleep, but many of us still walk around feeling tired all day because we have trouble getting the sleep we need.

�It’s not just over-working or our long to-do lists that are problems when it comes to sleep; our environments are a big culprit in the quality of our sleep, too.

I’ve got a few ideas to help you improve your bedroom to help you sleep better!

The first place to start is your bed! Is it comfortable? Does it make you feel like you’re in a luxury hotel? If not, what do you need to change about it for your best night’s sleep?

Next up is lighting. Dim lighting while you get ready for bed helps get your body into sleep mode. Turn off bright overhead lighting and switch to a soft, bedside lamp to start this process. Your body is programmed to sleep when it's dark, so you can encourage that rhythm by easing into nighttime.

Finally, the temperature of your room plays a big role. Your body temperature naturally drops as you drift into sleep, so cooling down your bedroom can jump start the process and make it easier to doze off. Most experts advise setting your thermostat 5° to 10° lower than your average daytime temperature.

You never know what's through the next doorway until you take a chance and walk through.

A lot of people see my successes and think I have some kind of "X factor" and think that I have something they don't. But that's simply not true!!

The truth is I'm often scared to try new things, but I do them anyway! I don't have any special skills or smarts beyond what a lot of people have, I just take WAY more action than most other people.

I walk through the doorway and sometimes I'm not sure what's on the other side! So if you're ready to take on something new to elevate your life or business I have great news -- you don't need an "X factor" you need effort.

Which means you can totally do anything you put your mind to! Sometimes I have to give myself this pep talk, so I thought I'd share it with you today!💓

UPDATE: When I first was part of this challenge, I didn't know the true meaning behind it. IT’S A TURKISH WOMEN’S RIGHTS MOVEMENT

The challenge originated in Turkey, where a women’s rights campaign began as a rebellion against the extreme violence many Turkish women face.

Protests in Turkey broke out after a 27-year-old woman named Pınar Gültekin was murdered by her ex-boyfriend in the Mugla province last week.

Femicide is a huge issue in Turkey, with 474 women murdered in 2019 – the highest figures in a whole decade. And due to the coronavirus, 2020 figures are expected to be even worse.

#SayNoToViolenceAgainstWomen and #EnforceTheIstanbulConvention are two hashtags associated with the movement we are being urged to include. If you are just learning about the movement, I urge you to update your post too!
