I just wrapped up a whirlwind week at High Point Market, the largest trade show for home furnishings in the world! It’s so exciting to show everyone the new designs I’ve created with my partners – and today I’m going to give you a sneak peek at what we unveiled! Like my brand new outdoor furniture line that made its debut with my partner company Woodbridge Furniture, above.

One of my favorite new designs was the channel-backed Tilley chair in a bright yellow velvet, from CR Laine. It is comfortable for everyone from tall people to petites! Tilley was also selected by Laura Umansky, a market Style Spotter, as one of her favorite products, which was such an honor!

I was lucky enough to have three of my new products “Style Spotted” in High Point, including my Calhoun chair from CR Laine in bright yellow chinoiserie. It was selected by the amazing designer Scot Meacham Wood.

And in Woodbridge, my new Nick table in brass and acrylic was chosen by Erika Ward as a top market product! Thanks to all the Style Spotters for the honors!

Speaking of Woodbridge, what do you think of the coral and gray palette I used in this room? It really highlights my new Emery cocktail table, Thomas console, and the best-selling Sarah chest that’s custom painted in gray.screen-shot-2016-10-26-at-3-03-22-pm

Half the fun of going to market is seeing all of my fellow designers, retailers, and friends, like this group of my former Mastermind consulting group members! Billy Ceglia, Lisa Hough, and Shelly Lloyd are all piled up with me on my Bradley bed from CR Laine, with gorgeous bedding from Eastern Accents!

And I was even more lucky to be able to show my hubby the crazy fun that is the High Point Market! It was his first time at the big show and I know he loved it!

Stay tuned in future posts as I show you more of the amazing products that made their debut this week! Be sure to let me know what you think in the comments section below!

Instagram Inspiration: Sneak Peek at New Designs

This week has been one for the record books for me! I just wrapped up the High Point Market – the largest furniture trade show in the world – where I introduced designs from all 4 of my licensing partners! Wow! The Instagram photo above really captures this major event for me because it showcases every partner: the Hayden sofa for my CR Laine collection, my Hudson Stripe fabric in blue from my Duralee line on the ottoman, the Brunell side table from my Woodbridge Furniture collection, and art from my line for Soicher Marin. I thought I’d give you a few more sneak peeks from my Instagram feed – these products won’t be on retail floors for weeks, so you’re among the first to see them!

This is also the first time my Duralee fabric collection was featured on furniture and pillows, and I had so much fun showing them to the retailers and designers who were in High Point. I am so proud of these bright and bold fabrics and loved how they looked in the CR Laine and Woodbridge showrooms.

For my new Soicher Marin artwork, I was feeling a little dotty this spring! I love the gorgeous colors in these pieces – they’ll have you seeing spots, in a good way.

The coral color and the scalloped base on my new Channing chair and ottoman were so pretty at CR Laine, and they really know how to do comfort at CR Laine, too. These beauties were an irresistible temptation at the end of a long day at market!

My friend and fellow designer Scot Meacham Wood spotted my Tucker entertainment console that I designed for Woodbridge for the High Point Market “Style Spotters” program. It’s featured here with my Helen chairs for CR Laine and 2 pieces from my art collection for Soicher Marin.

You know I love color, and I had so much fun creating this palette in the CR Laine showroom. Here is CR Laine’s great Chloe chairs all dressed up in the Hamilton stripe fabric from my Duralee collection. They are paired with my Marguerite banquette and Alexander chairs from the Tobi Fairley for CR Laine collection. The Denise table from my Woodbridge collection, and my Soicher Marin “What Do You See?” art help create a great mix of navy-and-black in this vignette.

I debuted a brand new and luxe Mink finish this market on my Denise dining table from Woodbridge, along with the new Grant arm chair and side chair with Greek key detailing.

It’s a LOT of work, for months and months, to bring one collection to market. And it’s even more work to have 4 of them take a bow in High Point all at once! Whew! I couldn’t have done any of it without the hard work and collaboration of my absolutely amazing partners and team. I can’t wait for you to see these designs in a retail store near you soon. Let me know what you think about the behind-the-curtain peek at what will soon be in stores near you, and keep following along with me on Instagram where I’m @tobifairley!

It’s only two weeks until a very important date! No, not tax day – it’s two weeks until the opening of High Point Market, the largest home furnishings trade show in the U.S. And I’m especially excited this time around because all four of my licensed lines will be represented with new products!

I love the excitement just before the big show – setting up the showrooms, unpacking all the gorgeous new pieces, and anticipating everyone’s reactions! It’s so much fun! And I thought since we’re so close to the big date that I’d give you a little sneak peek at what I’ll be showing in High Point.

Zoe

I’m so excited about the Zoe chair from CR Laine! It’s a great little club chair that can work at a dining table, as extra seating, or at a game table.

Speaking of game tables – I can’t wait for everyone to see the Lily Game Table from Woodbridge. It is unbelievably chic with a shagreen top and mink finish!

My new series of “dotty” art from Soicher Marin is colorful and fun – including the one above called Orbit. I have close to 20 new pieces for you to see in this category!

As for my new Duralee fabrics, this is the show where they make their BIG debut! You’ll see them all over market, including in CR Laine and Woodbridge. And you’ll also see them on me! My fun dress above was custom-made from my fabric called La Petit Roche.

If you’re able to shop the High Point Market, come see me in any of the fantastic showrooms during market – CR Laine is on the 2nd floor of 310 N. Hamilton, Woodbridge is just down the block on the 1st floor of 320 N. Hamilton, and Soicher Marin is on the 1st floor of the C&D Building.

Also, join me as I head a panel titled Secrets of Creating Curated Interiors with amazing designer Mary Douglas Drysdale, Susan Jamieson of Bridget Beari, and the Antiques Diva herself Toma Clarke Haines. The panel will be held at 2:30pm on Saturday, April 16, at the Antique & Design Center Lecture Room, on the Mezzanine Level of Historic Market Square.

I hope to see you in just a few short weeks!

The Perfect Accessory

Posted by

Lacquered Box with Agate Rectangle

The perfect accessory can really make or break your outfit – and it’s no different in a room design! This week, as High Point Market guests visit my new collection at CR Laine, we’re getting a lot of questions about the gorgeous accessories we used to complement my upholstery designs. They are from Times Two Design, a great Dallas-based company headed by the amazing Lauren Renfrow.

Glamazon Mineral Slab - Rose Quartz

As you can see, her lamps and accessories are all inspired by organic shapes and materials, like agate, quartz, wood, and malachite. I’m using the agate boxes and rose quartz lamp shown above in my CR Laine room designs, as well as the fabulous barnacle box and Selenite column lamp below.

If you’re here at High Point Market this week, be sure to stop by the Times Two Design space at Suites at Market Square, space M-4012, or you can see their pieces in the CR Laine showroom, 310 N. Hamilton, 2nd floor! They have some fabulous new designs, too, like the malachite box and Starburst lamp below. You can also view even more Times Two Designs on the website, just click here.

I’ll be back from High Point Market later this week, and then I’ll hopefully be back on a more regular blog schedule. Until then, keep your eye out here and on my Instagram and Facebook pages for more sneak peeks from the market!
