Lakehouse Living

I love these images from Thom Filicia’s Lakehouse featured in House Beautiful.

Summer is here so I’m taking some time off social media and work today to relax at the Lake with my family. I hope you are relaxing too!

Happy Memorial Day!

I think this was quite possibly the perfect weekend. The beginning of Summer. Time with Friends and Family. Bar-B-Q and Bubbles.

This weekend I had Farm Time.

Followed by some Lake Time.

And then I had Hammock Time in my Garden…all in one weekend.

Now I am enjoying some quiet time with a little Watermelon, a cool glass of Pellegrino, and the cool sounds of Dean Martin, Harry Connick Jr. and other Ultra-Lounge tunes helping me wind down.

I hope your weekend was amazing, too. And I hope you took a little time to remember all the troops that have fought for our Freedom so we can live such a glorious life. Without them, we wouldn’t be living the American Dream!

Home & Garden: The Look for Less

Posted by

Throughout the month, I’ve been profiling the lakehouse from my Home & Garden feature.  For a bit of design fun, I thought I’d take one image from this waterside retreat and develop a “Look for Less”.  Here’s what I came up with:

1 Ferns III Art Print by Stephen N. Meyers    2 Crate & Barrel Bayside Chair in Petry/Poppy    3 Walmart Ceramic Gourd-Shaped Table Lamp    4 Lola Stripe Throw Pillow in Peony    5 Pottery Barn Monogrammed Washed Basketweave Pillow Cover in Sprout Green    6 Ballard Designs Benedetta Round Side Table    7 Ballard Designs Square Tufted Storage Ottoman    8 Pottery Barn Pearce Sectional in Mahogany Everyday Suede    9 FLOR Faux Bois Carpet Tiles in Bisque/Reed by Martha Stewart

And if you are looking for a Tobi Fairley Look for Less, check out my InBox Interiors online design service.  It’s a great way to get my signature design style without my full-service design price.  InBox Interiors is perfect for the do-it-yourself type who just wants a little design help!  Every thing in an InBox design is available for purchase online or through local stores so we give you a ton of style that’s easy to find.

The before’s were taken with the previous owner’s rustic belongings inside. As you will see, my client’s aesthetic is clean and simple which resulted in “Lakehouse Chic”.  Enjoy!
