3. Fujifilm Instax Mini Instant Camera–My daughter has one of these adorable instant cameras and it made me nostalgic for my old polaroid from my childhood. All-American Runway to Room to Table

Posted by

I am so honored to have two gorgeous ladies, who happen to also be my friends, bringing their wildly popular collaboration “Runway to Room to Table” here to Tobi’s Blog for a special July 4th celebration!

The ever fashionable Erin Gates, author of one of my all-time favorite blogs, Elements of Style is bringing us a room look straight from the runway that is the epitome of All-American style.

And Nate Berkus show regular Kelly Moore, the Seattle and New York City based event planner, interpretes the all American runway look to the table, perfect for summer entertaining in America.  I know you’ll enjoy their post and I hope you enjoy a very happy and safe July 4th!  xo, Tobi

This smart and sexy runway look is from Tommy Hilfiger Spring 2011.

Taking cues from this menswear inspired look, here’s a summery design, perfect for a guest bedroom or child’s room reflecting the preppy All-American look.

Taking this patriotic color scheme to the table, here is a look that is sure to make your summer soiree an American Classic.

Camping Fashion with Erin Gates

Posted by

Hey guys, it’s Erin from Elements of Style, ready to get down and dirty with “camping fashion”. It’s not often we put fashion and camping in the same sentence, nevertheless, the same blog post.  Roughing it in the woods isn’t exactly the place to take your newest gladiator heels for spin on a twig strewn runway. The idea of it reminds me of that great Sex and the City episode where Carrie goes up to Aidan’s cabin and brings along mounds of luggage and perfectly curated country chic ensembles, only to end up in mud caked overalls.

However, with the development of glamping resorts, such as my personal favorite Paws Up in Montana, the combination of luxury and nature are readily available if your budget allows. Imagine tents with wood floors, granite and stone bathrooms with hot water, bedside lamps and glasses of chilled sauvignon blanc at the end of a tough day of guided hikes and time in the spa tent.

What could one pack for such an occasion? Why, I’m glad you asked:

If this whole Hermes-meets-hiking thing is a bit rich for your blood, perhaps a more rustic, normal camping experience is something worth trying.  Even the biggest glamour queen can benefit from fresh air, no wi-fi and a little breathing room.  It doesn’t mean you have to give up looking somewhat cute while toasting marshmallows by the fire and reading the newest InStyle by flashlight.
