New Design Camp Additions and an Antiquing trip…Don’t Miss it!

Posted by

Our next Design Camp A-Z is next week, but there is still time to sign up and bring a friend for free.

You won’t want to miss this fantastic camp where I will be teaching my very own 26-step process for designing a room top to bottom.  You can learn more about camp details over here and get registered. It is SO much fun. Just hear what our previous campers have to say!

But what you don’t know is that we have ALL-NEW sponsors and special events this Design Camp! Plus we are announcing an exciting add-on to camp (and open to the public) that you won’t want to miss!!

First, we are thrilled to announce that Cobblestone and Vinewill once again be sponsoring Design Camp.  What does that mean? It means another fabulous party in their store one evening during camp, where you can shop away in their European-inspired boutique, while enjoying delicious snacks and cocktails.

It also means another Celebrity Guest appearance and book-signing.  Cobblestone and Vine is bringing my friend Kathryn Greeley, author of the new book The Collected Tabletop to town for a book signing and the launch of Kathryn’s brand new stationery collaboration with Arkansas’s own San Lori paper company. So our campers will be among the first to see this new collection of invitations, menu cards and more.

And if that weren’t exciting enough, we have an all-new sponsor of Design Camp A to Z…At Home in Arkansas Magazine.  At Home in Arkansas is “going camping” with us next week  one evening with a fun cocktail party and a lecture on Getting Published.

So whether you are a designer or a homeowner who aspires to see your project on the pages of a magazine, At Home in Arkansas’ Editor in Chief, Diane Carroll, will take you behind the scenes from the scouting shots all the way through going to press with the beautiful projects that grace their pages each month.  Diane is a former field editor for Traditional Home and Metropolitan Home Magazines, so she knows the ins and outs of getting published both regionally and nationally and she’s sharing these insider secrets at camp!

And as an added bonus, we will be bringing Kathryn Greeley back during camp one day, to give us her top tips for collecting antiques for your tabletop and your home. I don’t know about you, but I think collecting antiques can be tricky. How do you know what to buy? or if it’s a good price?  Kathryn will give us her expert’s view on how to start a collection, when to splurge, and other insider’s tips on creating spaces that are “collected, not decorated”.

And if you want to know even more about hunting for and buying great antiques, you will want to join At Home in Arkansas, Cobblestone and Vine, and Tobi Fairley & Associates on Saturday, the 21st as we sponsor a Guided Antiquing Tour of Central Arkansas and lunch with Kathryn Greeley.  Lunch and an autographed copy of Kathryn’s book, The Collected Tabletop will be included for each guest.

For just $100.00, you can meet Kathryn at some of the best antique destinations in central Arkansas.  You will have lunch at Charlotte’s Eats and Sweets, an Arkansas eatery featured twice in Southern Living, shop for exciting treasures at Morris Antiques and I-40 Antique Mall, and culminate in a reception at Cobblestone and Vine’s Heights Location with a signing of Kathryn’s book.

Whew…I can hardly wait for all the exciting additions to our Design Camp A to Z Schedule!

So to come to our camp next week, January 18-20, sponsored by At Home in Arkansas and Cobblestone and Vine…
