This week, I am thrilled to have my good friend Kathryn Greeley of Kathryn Greeley Designs in town for a visit. Since the September launch of her book, The Collected Tabletop, she has been a busy lady with book signings and interviews, including a spot on the Martha Stewart radio show, twice!
Her trip to Arkansas won’t be all play either (although I’m sure we’ll manage to have a good time along the way!). Kathryn will be attending my Design Camp this week to share tips on collecting with our campers. This morning, she’ll also be sharing more about her book on the Bob Steel radio show. Then, just a little later she’ll be appearing on KATV’s Good Morning Arkansas, where she’ll talk about her new stationery line with SanLori and share a favorite recipe. If you’re not able to tune in here in Arkansas, not to worry — you can view the show on KATV’s site later today.
I especially hope that you will join us for two other events where you will have the chance to meet Kathryn in person and talk with her about her passion for collecting.
The first is a book signing in Little Rock at one of my favorite shops, Cobblestone & Vine. This gathering is also a celebration for the launch of the stationery line, which is called “The Chestnut Cottage Collection,” in reference to Kathryn’s home in North Carolina. I hope you’ll make plans to join us this Wednesday from 2 – 6 p.m. at the West Little Rock location of Cobblestone & Vine to meet Kathryn in person and get your own signed copy of The Collected Tabletop.
Finally, the second opportunity is truly a do-not-miss event. Kathryn will be presenting a guided antiques tour through the central Arkansas area this Saturday, January 21. We’ll start in Keo at Morris Antiques and work our way back to Little Rock and I-40 Antique Mall. I am so excited to join her on this tour and hope to see all of you there as we search for treasures to add to our collections! You can sign up for the tour by emailing brooke@tobifairley.com. Did I mention we’ll be lunching at the famous Charlotte’s Eats and Sweets? I can almost taste the pie now! You can read more about the tour in Kathyrn’s recent blog post.
Hope to see you at one of these events!
