High Point Review: Wesley Hall and Camp Tobi Fairley Design A to Z

Posted by

I recently returned from High Point, North Carolina and the Fall Furniture Market. I was so happy to have been sponsored this market by the great showroom Wesley Hall. Especially since they were running over with my favorite shades of Green!

Always a highlight of my market trip, Wesley Hall is a great source of color and inspiration. And this market, color WAS their inspiration as evidenced by their fun paint styling props! Priding themselves on great textiles and upholstery detailing, Wesley Hall packs a ton of color and pattern punch, which you all know is right up my alley! And in case you didn’t know it, Wesley Hall is also the manufacturer for Bunny Williams’ gorgeous BeeLine Home Upholstery, and as we say in the design industry…”If it’s good enough for Bunny”!!

My favorite vignette of the Wesley Hall showroom this Fall was this GLORIOUS display of Hunter Green velvet (yes, Hunter Green is coming back in a big way), mixed with one of the season’s hottest colors, cobalt, and pops of one of my favorite colors, bright yellow!

Right on trend with Dwell’s watercolor floral prints and malachite patterns, Wesley Hall couldn’t have looked any fresher in my opinion. And New River Artisan’s rugs complimented perfectly.

Isn’t that malachite chair to die for!?!?

I even noticed that they accessorized with my friend Amanda Nisbet’s new book, Dazzling Design. Honestly, many of these pieces looked chic enough to have been designed by Amanda herself!

And don’t you adore the wood walls in the vignette? The perfect mix of rustic and chic for a successful design statement.

Also catching my attention at Wesley Hall were these gorgeous pieces and color palettes.  Take a look…

Grey and Orange is still going strong.

I love this leather chair with suede contrast gimp and nickel nailhead.

A fun novelty pattern with a nod to Chinese Blue.

A great little curved ottoman in a perfect shade of purple. I love these pulled up to a cocktail table.

The diamond quilting detail on this sophisticated sofa was gorgeous.

I’m always looking for a great x-bench and I love that this one combines welting and tufting with a “loose” top.

Chocolate and Chesterfield make a handsome pair, don’t you think?

Contrast banding makes this chair exciting! And the size is perfectly versatile for so many spaces.

Mid-century modern in turquoise leather. How fun!

And an exciting little surprise on the backs of these neutral dining chairs.

I hope you enjoyed my tour of Wesley Hall.  I want to say a HUGE thanks to Anne and the Wesley Hall team for hosting me for Fall market. They were so kind to my team and me!

I will be back in a day or two with more of my favorite finds from High Point Fall 2012 like these fabulous lanterns from Robert Abbey. And speaking of High Point Market, today is the first day of Camp Tobi Fairley’s Design from A to Z and Cheminne Taylor-Smith, the Vice President of Marketing for High Point is joining us as one of our special guests.

I am SO excited that Cheminne will be talking about her take on the trends from the most recent High Point Market and telling us what she sees on the horizon for Spring 2013.

If you are wishing you were with us at camp but just couldn’t make it this time, then stay tuned here on the blog and our Facebook and Twitter accounts for a backstage pass to the latest camp news, videos and more.

I’m off to camp! See you soon, Tobi
