As some of you are reading this bright and early, I am already on a plane to New York City with my mom and daughter in tow. I am not quite in the Holiday Spirit yet, but I feel certain this trip will do the trick!
I am so excited to be heading to my favorite city in the United States this week and even more excited that it’s Christmas Time in New York!! I guess this is one of the silver linings of my October trip being cancelled due to Sandy.
That’s right, I get to spend time with 2 of my favorite people in my favorite city during my favorite time of year. I hope we can add to the retail success of this great city that was so hard hit by the Hurricane. Believe me we will do our best to shop ’til we drop, eat delicious meals and squeeze in a show or two to help the economy!
I will be doing a couple of photo shoots this week while in town, so it’s a work trip for sure. But there will definitely be time for fun and shopping too. In fact, I’ll probably be so inspired by my shopping that I’ll be able to bring you my annual gift guides in a few days in time for you to shop for those on your list.
I did want to remind you all that TODAY is the very last day of Holiday House NYC. So if you are in New York, please stop by and see my room and all the other gorgeous spaces that benefit a great cause…the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
One other update…my Scotland Talk has been postponed again. Sandy really did a number on the schedules of everyone involved in this event, so it looks like the talk will now be in February of 2013. But don’t worry, I will be the first to let you know all the details when they unfold. And I will still be bringing you a recap of my trip with Traditional Home to Scotland really soon.
That’s all for now. I’ll be back tomorrow with more inspiration for you, but today I am out being inspired in the City.
Happy Holidays! xo, Tobi
