Happy Monday! I hope you had a wonderful weekend filled with family, friends, and, oh yes — football. With both teams and both fan bases decked out in red and blue all weekend, I thought I would offer a fresh color combo as we slowly begin to move into spring.
Recently, I have been inspired by a combination from Pantone’s Spring 2012 Fashion Color Report, Sweet Lilac and Tangerine Tango.
Why I Love It: You probably remember Tangerine Tango as the bold and energizing Pantone Color of the Year. At first I thought perhaps it was best paired with a neutral shade, like a rich chocolate or a brilliant white.
However, after seeing this sketch from Nanette Lepore, I was inspired to carry these colors in to a home palette just as she has suggested for a spring fashion line.
Where to Find It: Everywhere! If you already own Tangerine pieces, it’s easy to mix in lilac for this fresh look.
I found this pairing from Nanette Lepore’s spring line that’s now available. Some of the same shades were used here as in her fashion report sketch.
Bring the combo into your home by adding a lilac monogram to these tangerine pillows from Crate & Barrel.
Keeping that same monogram theme in mind, I would love to have a Dabney Lee lucite tray.
It would be so fabulous with one of these pattern options and the monogram in the other option from the color combo. Like one of these…
Looks good, doesn’t it? I know this combo is something that is on the horizon for 2012 and I’m sure we’ll be seeing more options in the near future! I hope you’ll be encouraged to look for these colors in nature and incorporate the palette in to your home or your wardrobe.
xoxo
