I don’t know about you, but weekends are a time of rest and relaxation for me! On Sunday mornings especially, I love to spend time with my family and indulge in a little TV. For me, that means the CBS Sunday Morning Show.
Why I Love It: How can you not love a show that starts off like this…
Wynton Marsalis is so amazing. I look forward to this trumpeted theme every week. In fact, Mini Me always runs in to tell me “my show” is on when she hears it!
But, it’s not just the great intro I love. Charles Osgood is such a charming host. It’s like inviting a good friend into your living room for a Sunday morning news update.
Each week he and the other correspondents, including Bill Geist, Rita Braver, Tracy Smith, Martha Teichner, Serena Altschul, Nancy Giles and Mo Rocca (he’s hilarious!) give truly interesting reports on a wide range of topics. They’ve featured everyone from Tory Burch to Arkansas’ own Glen Campbell (one of today’s stories, I hear…). No stone is left unturned!
In fact, I’m so obsessed that I have to admit it’s my DREAM to be featured here!! One day!

Tobi – enjoyed this post…CBS Sunday Morning has been a favorite of mine since I was a kiddo (my parents watched it)…now as adult I can fully appreciate what a truly wonderful show it is!!

Tobi, Funny. Everytime I hear that theme song, I’m transported back to my childhood. I grew up hearing it as my parents watched while we got ready for church. These days I’m already gone by the time it airs, but it is a great show. Then and now.
Tobi, I love that show too. the best “go with” my coffee on a Sunday morning. And I have always wanted to produce a story for that show, so who knows…

Hi Tobi, I’ve been wanting a good, all-around news show but don’t like watching tv during the week. This sounds like a great addition to the Sunday morning routine, especially given the informative and inspiring range of topics. Thanks for sharing. One of my all time favorite ways to start a Sunday. Nice to know there are others that enjoy the wonderful stories they share with us.
