What goes around comes around, and nowhere is that more apparent than in the design world. Both fashion and interiors are consistently inspired by past, and the recent trend of returning to our Western roots (think chambray, lace, and artisan inspired pieces) is a perfect example of historically influenced All-American appeal…
Pieces like a vintage milk bottle being re-imagined into stackable measuring cups or a streamlined lighting fixture that mimics oil lanterns show a modern take on the past. Other pieces, like rich leather and practical chambray, never seem to lose their appeal. For a girl from the West Coast, this is my own version of Americana, influenced by images of the gold rushes in California, mid-century modern style and a love of time-worn classics.
