High Point Market and the latest trends…

Want to know if Turquoise is still the hottest color in design? Well Elle Decor thinks so, but hear what a few industry experts think.

I am excited to be part of a discussion panel next Monday night at the High Point Furniture Market.  The semi-annual Competitive Intelligence Seminar is put on by the women’s leadership group, WITHIT. WITHIT is the great organization that sponsored my Key Note breakfast in High Point last fall.

Joining me on the panel this week is a stellar group that includes Julia Noran from The Editor at Large, Seattle Designer Faith Sheridan, and managing editor of Veranda Magazine, Deborah Sanders.  We will be discussing our favorite products and trends that we have spotted the first few days of this Spring Market.

The free event (but registration required) is Monday, April 19th from 6:00 to 8:30pm in the Palliser Showroom (space 400 of 220 Elm). I hope if you are in High Point, you will come participate!

And stay tuned for my posts about all those trendy finds that I see here at market!

  4. What FUN! Thanks for insights and generosity with Competitive Intelligence, Tobi. Many in the audience – writers, interior designers, product designers, merchants – have called me to sing Praises for the event and viewpoints shared by You, Faith, Deborah, and Julia.

Talk about Learn, Grow, Lead, and Encourage – you all embody WithIt’s very reason for being. And… please tell your Mom what a pleasure it was to confab with her, too. Energy squared!

(Have tons of fun w hubby in Chicago & we’ll hope to see you soon)

  5. Dear Darling Tobi,

What great Blog posts with MARKET! I believe Turquoise is a state of mind versus trend (the french have always put it into design, as well as, greece, italy, etc.). Turquoise is a color you either feel works with you or doesn’t. So if it is the trend in the U.S., I am certainly thrilled to have Turquoise back!

    Kindest Regards xo,

    P.S. rest your feet
