Cake Stands…what’s not to love?
They make even the smallest cakes look grand.
They are gorgeous and sculptural even with nothing on them.
And I don’t know about you, but I want my collection to rival the prop room at Martha Stewart Living!!
Martha did a fabulous story on vintage styles in the February issue of Martha Stewart Living.
I think I’ve read the feature at least 12 times, drooling all the while.
If I wasn’t a designer, a baker I might be…
Or the owner of a quaint little cupcake shop…
Or a party planner with birthdays as my specialty.
But for now, I will just use cake stands to make my own treats look special.
And I will have fun adding vintage styles like these to my collection.
And I’ll throw in a few new styles with a vintage flair now and then.
On Day 21 I am loving cake stands, because they make me happy! And besides, I need something to fill those butler’s pantries that I love.

Martha’s Feb. issue had me wanting to collect vintage cake stands. So many incredible colors & versions. A bakers delight!

I love cake stands too for lots of uses – I am planning to get one for fruit. Also I once saw a three tier wirework one in a magazine stacked with perfume bottles, which inspired me to buy it and use it for lotions and potions.

The most fun cake stand is perfectly square…it allows the cake to be seen, and cupcakes to sit in all ways on the top!
