Day 18 of Things I Love…the Butler’s Pantry

I love gorgeous dishes. I love platters and bowls and cake stands and linens. I love small kitchen appliances and sterling silver. I love tea pots. I love salt cellars. I love toast racks. I love soup tureens and sushi dishes and because I need a fabulous place to keep all these things I love…I love butler’s pantries.

On Day 18, I love Butler’s Pantries and all the lovely things that are in them.

I love them too. What I wouldn’t give to have a decent-size butler’s pantry. And yes, Willow Decor’s butler’s pantry is the one I covet!

  2. I don’t have a butler’s pantry so I created one by using a large armoire! Very similar to the one in the last photo. Builders, listen up!! Homeowners want more storage……….any way or shape we can get it!!

    love, love, love.

but, this is basically just storage pornography. lol.

  4. well we have a wet butlers pantry at our home here (with its own fridge etc) we call it the kitchen within in the kitchen! Ours looks nothing like these – wish it did! Ours is a real little work room!

I love any type of butler’s pantry! Maybe because I am such a nester – I love piles of dishes and servers, glasses, teacups, sugarbowls all neatly stacked and surrounding me. All the photos were wonderful!

  10. I love all those things, too and I’m lucky enough to have a butler’s pantry. Sorry to say, it’s not photo-worthy! But, after seeing these pictures, maybe I’ll get inspired. I love this current series of posts that you’re doing, btw…

One of these photos actually came from my blog (posted 11/30/2008) – the 6th photo down with the glass upper cabinets and crystal chandelier. A butler’s pantry designed by my friend Tom Newman – he gave me the photos way back when and I love this space. Tom is owner of an architecture firm here in Los Angeles. Very talented.

Thanks to you all for your comments. I am glad to know that so many of you share my love of these gorgeous pantries. I think it is my love of cooking and entertaining that makes me want to surround myself with gorgeous serveware!! And thanks Cococozy for letting us know the origin of your friends pantry. I found it on another blog so obviously you and I are not the only ones loving this gorgeous space!! Keep the comments coming please! I am inspired by all the things you love too! xoxo Tobi
