As many of you already know, I have a thing for vintage style bicycles. Being the old soul that I am, I love the idea of taking my bike on jaunts to the store or to have a picnic or to the library to pick up a stack of new things to read.
Like with interiors (and yesterday’s chairs), I love vintage bikes in neutral tones, but they especially speak to me when in fun bright colors.
And if vintage bikes alone weren’t enough, throw an adorable basket on the front and I am totally hooked.
Vintage Bikes make we want to live in the city so I could do some weekend sightseeing while cruising the town.
And thanks to my sweet hubby, I am the proud owner of an Electra Townie in aquamarine pearl which is that oh-so-serene nostalgic shade of green just like the bike above.
So now I am ready to throw on a spring skirt and go for a spin.
And I might even have to redo my back hall so my bike can look this cute hanging out between rides.
Day #11 of Things I Love…A Vintage Bike. And throw in a basket while you’re at it for some added charm.

I love biking…although it’s hard on the but if you haven’t been for a while. Last trip to Amsterdam, Brian and I biked from the airport to the city…such great things to see along the way…I can’t wait to go back and do it again. You also reminded me, I have to get my own bike into the shop to get it ready for spring…
Lovin what your lovin…
Best,
Michelle
What pretty images. Now I want one of these bikes…esp since my husband had to install the baby seat on mine and I am terrified to ride with her…so we switch bikes for family outings! I’d
Tobi, I have this fantasy of living in a small New England village only in perfect weather of course. Riding my bike to the local markets for produce, meat and fresh flowers etc and putting them in my bike basket waving to the locals as I drive by. I have on a white man’s shirt rolled up jeans red keds and my bike is white, Oh what a picture!! Kathysue
