Our approach to the Energy House show house, the most energy efficient home in Arkansas, was to create a mix of green, vintage, and new items in an effort to teach people that sustainability isn’t an all or nothing proposition. Some of the vintage items we used were a pair of channel back chairs.
We painted the legs aqua and replaced the dated leopard upholstery with a fresh orange linen.
And the result…perfect!
Stay tuned for more Energy House ideas.

loving this!
Love the before and after! Using antiques and vintage pieces are the perfect way to reduce, reuse and recycle. They also will hold their value over time.

I LOVE this! Fabulous color choices. I’m including it in my post today.
This chair is beautiful. I am loving both orange and aqua right now. To see them put together like this is great.
What a beautiful transformation! Love those color combinations and isn’t it amazing what a little paint and new upholstery will do for an old piece of furniture? Not that it was too shabby before. But, wow! Look at it now!
Pardon me be changing the subject. Thanks to Ms. Fairley for joining the Skirted Roundtable this week. http://tinyurl.com/orsw27
