Winter White

I am crazy about color…in fashion, in nature, and in interior design.  But lately I have been craving the all-white palette.  Maybe it’s my desire for it to snow here in the deep south. Maybe you can actually burn out on using bold color for 15 years. Or maybe it’s a desire to cleanse my palette before I go back to using vivid hues! But whatever the reason, I just can’t get this craving out of my mind!

It recently occured to me that as much as I love to entertain, it would be really fun if I had a white backdrop in which I could create a multitude of different party atmospheres using different color flowers, accessories and cuisine for each occassion.

Metropolitan Home Magazine did a great feature on the “All White Home” this month that certainly appealed to my craving for white! The Westies were super cute too!

So on that note, here are some amazing white interiors! I am now on a mission to create an all neutral space or home.  Any volunteers???  Call me and let’s get started asap…I can hardly wait!

One of the most beautiful rooms that we had the honor to do was all white. The only color was the rug and it was in pale greens, blues, coral, and other colors that were so pale. The design was Aubusson Encore and I always wanted to do all white with that rug in my house. Really beautiful. Back in the day, my Mom had our living room in all white. I hated it than, but love it now.
