When I was younger I never really loved Sundays. There was just something a little depressing about them. The weekend was winding down and I would soon be back to the real world. But at some point, and I am not exactly sure when it was, I had a complete transformation in my attitude towards this day of rest!
In fact, I would say Sunday is really close to the top of my list these days. It is a time to stay in bed just a little longer or take a bubble bath. It is a time to be with my family. A time to be on my own schedule. A time to do the things I want to do, instead of the things that I must do, like read a book and heaven forbid, blog! And I actually find myself looking forward to Sunday each and every week. I even changed the way I look at weekends a couple of years ago with regard to my travels. Now, whenever possible, I come home from my trips and vacations on Saturday so I can have my sacred Sunday to relax, recoup and re-energize for the week ahead.
So here’s to Sunday! The mandatory day of rest! I hope this day is one of renewal for you that will set a positive tone for the coming week! Tobi

Funny, I feel the very same! And, like you, I use to not like Sundays either. Perhaps with age comes wisdom!
I do believe you are right about the age=wisdom equation. I think I really grew up around age 35, which is coincidentally not long after my daughter was born. The lovely thing is that this newfound wisdom makes me look forward to the life that lies before me. Aging really is a beautiful thing that we should all embrace with open arms! Hope your Sunday was great!
Hi there,
I totally understand how you feel about Sundays.. I used to feel the same before. Now, i just relax, watch a movie and get ready for the next week.
