Oh Mandy!

Ok, so I don’t really think my good friend, Amanda Nisbet, would be thrilled by the nick-name Mandy…but I can tell you Oh!!! was definitely my reaction to seeing her brand new product designs!  Amanda recently introduced these fab pieces of furniture, textiles, lighting and decor in conjunction with the Traditional Home Magazine Show house in Mantouk, New York.

Oh Wow! Oh Boy! OMG! These pieces are fantastic, which is not surprising since they are the products of my Uber-creative friend and highly sought after Manhattan Designer Amanda Nisbet!  Besides Traditional Home, Amanda’s work has been published in Elle Decor, House Beautiful, O at Home, House and Garden, Home Magazine and many more. And the glam photo of her above, was part of her style feature last year on 1st dibs website. I have featured spaces many times from Amanda’s colorful and energetic portfolio as they are so consistent with my own design style…bright, bold and dramatic while at the same time clean and functional.  And it is these very traits that attract most of Amanda’s clients.  Especially, those young families who love the “don’t take your home too seriously” philosophy Amanda uses to make spaces perfect for people of all ages and a multitude of purposes!

But don’t get me wrong, Amanda certainly does not sacrifice sophistication or style…but rather infuses it gracefully into her projects and as you can now see, her products! Amanda is a pro at incorporating colorful geometric fabrics into her spaces and now she has created a few patterns of her own.

Amanda goes green with these Cork consoles.

Also a fan of lucite, These fantastic stools are Amanda’s own design.

Crushed seashells adorn the surface of these beautiful tables Amanda created through Travers.

Urban Electric produces these colorful lanterns, amazing wood sconces and playful floor lamp, all Amanda originals!

The ubiquitious coral motif gets a new life with Amanda’s mirror designs for Soicher-Marin.

And in case you haven’t seen the current issue of Traditional Home, here are the other shots of Amanda’s smart designs for the Mantouk Showhouse.

And be sure to check out Amanda’s portfolio on her beautiful website to see many of her other projects, including her own home that was featured in the November issue of House Beautiful!
