It is a real treat to be able to feature Atlanta designer extraordinaire, Suzanne Kasler. I have long been an admirer of Suzanne and her work. We share many things in common including our southern roots, our love of color in interiors and the list goes on. One of the many perks of writing this blog, has been that it has allowed me to get to know other talented designers from across the country including Suzanne through events like the recent blogger breakfast at Hickory Chair’s High Point showroom. It is my great pleasure to dedicate this entire week to the work, the products and the fabulous new book, Inspired Interiors, all results of Suzanne’s talent, creativity and a lot of hard work.
Suzanne Kasler has an inimitable way of creating “collected” interiors by melding client’s special collections, art, antiques and custom designed pieces. She has been perfecting this unique look for over 20 years and it is her evolved and sophisticated style that has earned her many accolades and prestigious awards including being named by House Beautiful as one of the top 100 designers in 2005 and selection as one of House and Garden’s 50 tastemakers in March 2006.
Suzanne’s work has been published in all the major design magazines including Architectural Digest, House Beautiful, Southern Accents, Traditional Home, and Veranda. Suzanne has been a part of many designer showhouses and I have always been especially fond of Suzanne’s work in these charity projects including the kitchen above featured in Southern Accents. I will have more later in the week about the 2009 Christmas House and Suzanne’s breakfast room in the spectacular Atlanta Home.
You can see many of Suzanne’s most popular and loved spaces in her new book, Inspired Interiors by Rizzoli. It does a beautiful job of highlighting gorgeous French-inspired interiors that are a hallmark of Suzanne’s style and also the inspiration for her furniture collection for Hickory Chair. The dining room below, featured in the book, incorporates several pieces of her Hickory Chair Collection including one of my favorites, the Frederica Bench.
To see this gorgeous dining space and much more about Suzanne and her work, pick up a copy of Inspired Interiors. You can purchase a copy by visiting my amazon recommendations in the right sidebar of my blog.
To enter to win an autographed copy, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org the subject line “Suzanne Kasler Book Giveaway”. Only one entry per person per week please. The drawing will be held this Friday at noon Central Standard Time.
Up this week, Suzanne’s collection for Hickory Chair, Suzanne and her work at the charming Blackberry Farms in Tennessee and so much more.
