So I am still on this Secretary kick! And I wanted to share with you a fun “makeover” I did on a favorite client’s secretary last fall! It was a family heirloom that was in dire need of a facelift! Now don’t get me wrong, this is not a do-it-yourself project for me.  It is actually a call your fabulous faux finisher and have them do it! I think it turned out just great!! Let me know what you think!!

Here is the before…

The client’s home is a little rustic but certainly architectural and simple with a chocolate and grey color palette and a few yellow accents!  I proposed a yellow lacquer finish with faux bois interior detailing based on an inspiration photo that was in a recent Horchow catalog.

This is the “during” while in progress with one of my talented faux finishers, Tracy Rivers, at Angelfish Studios.

And Viola!!! The after…it’s one of my favorite “makeover” projects in a long time!
