I want a cottage, a little hideaway!
Where I can stay in the kitchen and cook all day!
And collect antique dishes with roosters and hens,
And sit on the couch and drink wine with our friends!
And sometimes I’ll just want to lie in the bed!
Or move to the den with books I haven’t read!
I’ll have a quaint little guest suite full of happiness and cheer!
And a pretty little space to keep my baby girl near!
And at the end of the day I’ll retire to my chair! Where I’ll watch the sunset and I say a small prayer!
Yes I want a cottage on Day #11 and I’ll be waiting patiently til it’s sent down from Heaven!

I live in California’s version of a cottage-a bungalow. It’s way too small for all of us, but I love it anyways. It is my little hideaway from the outside world. BTW, I have thoroughly enjoyed reading your series of “Things I Love”. Have a great week!

This is wonderful for I can relate to this thing you share and love. I have a very similar dream/goal, though I’m shooting for a cottage in the sand
It’s attainable, with your passion and desire for this cottage, there is not a doubt in my mind that you will achieve this goal and appreciate every single tiny moment that you will experience there.
Love the bold black and white striped rugs and bedding. Such a fun look, while being classy at the same time. I also like the punch of yellow; canary yellow on the headboard, roman shade with the green border and the bead spread.

We have the same dream Tobi. I would have never thought to do B&W in a cottage but it looks terrific the way you have it here in the pix. Slipcovers are the perfect solution for many reasons. Especially at the beach. (Fitted normale!)
