Before and After:Designer House

Posted by

I get many requests for “Before and After” features of my work. I guess it is really exciting for people to see something beautiful take shape where there was an empty shell before.  So to fill these requests, here is one of my projects that has received a great deal of publicity, the Susan G. Komen Build for the Cure Idea House.

This project was completed in November 2007 to benefit the local chapter of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. My spaces from this designer house were published in Traditional Home in April 2008 as part of a multi-page feature on using geometrics.

Though this was a new construction and so not the quite the transformation that some remodels are, seeing the empty shell and then the completed project is dramatic!

That bedroom is one of my favorites. I wish I could just move into it today. It was great getting to see the things you added like the trim mouldings around the photos, bed, etc. I have always just seen the finished product, so it would have never occured to me that you added that!!!!

  3. Tobi, I love this home. There isn’t one space that I don’t like! You have a great talent for mixing patterns and colors. I can really appreciate what it takes to make these room “work” too. I think some people just have “it” and you are certainly one of them!

woow!! u are blessed with all that at once, i wish i were u, maybe i could use some advice too.
U are the best, i like the fact that u keep every design clean and not too crowded or overpowering the room itself.

May I beg of you to know the BR paint color? I’m sure it’s custom from the fabric, but it’s absolute perfection!
