I am very excited for my latest publicity in the March 2009 issue of At Home in Arkansas Magazine! This home was a departure from my typical project because the client is very traditional in style with ornate antiques and collectibles they have acquired over the years. My task was to infuse my colorful, youthful and clean vibe into their 8000 square foot new construction. They wanted a result that is representative of their sophisticated taste and is at the same time comfortable for entertaining their college-age sons and large extended family.
Mediterranean and Moorish influences appear throughout the home but are most evident in the formal living room! I especially love the teal Spitzmiller lamps, the velvet leopard pillows and the New River Artisans carpet.
With seating for 18, the dining room is grand! The damask wallcovering sets the tone for the space and the blue and white ceramics infuse tradition reminiscent of some Valentino designs I have admired for quite some time from an old issue of Arch Digest.
Warmth and comfort abound in the kitchen and breakfast areas. These spaces are sure to be the hub of the home as they are in so many residences!
I loved creating an alternate seating area in the entry taking full advantage of the large space to accommodate more family and friends at parties and events!
The client’s previous dining room buffet became the perfect vanity in the powder room with an onyx top and gilded sink. Spicing it up with Sicis leopard mosaic tile was an unexpected surprise.
This light and fresh office space was inspired by my client’s desire not to have the “typical man’s study”.
Possibly my favorite bedroom project to date…I am crazy about this damask wallpaper and Fortuny lighting in the Master suite. And the glamour of the antique mirrored master bath is a beautiful and luxurious compliment to the bedroom!
And a little more typical of my design aesthetic, the young man’s bedroom is fresh, clean and simple.

This is really beautiful! Would love for my house to look like that, especially since I’m in the dreary, wet northwest reaight now!

Tobi, You have really outdone yourself with this space! The bedroom is incredible and I too, love the Fortuny light fixture. I also love how you pulled the teal color into the room from the painting to the Spitzmiller lamps. Beautiful! It takes a decorator to match colors, but it takes a real designer to pull together a room that looks cohesive and right. You are a gifted interior designer and your clients are lucky to have you!
Toby, what a stunning home. Amazing use of space, and despite the grand scale of the home, each room looks warm and so welcoming.
Can’t decide which room is my favorite, possibly the master suite {wallpaper and those antique mirrors!} but the study comes in a close second.

The dining room and bed room looks amazing. I would really love to live in this place. lol. It’s not difficult to dress your house if you are rich anyway.
Your work is absolutely beautiful! These rooms are stunningly elegant.I’d love to know what kind of wallcovering was used in the powder room.It is gorgeous!

Where can I find these?
Natural curiousities.
Those nightstands and the bedding are gorgeous…where are they from/where can I find something similar?
The master bedroom is gorgeous. I am looking to do a gold and cream damask bedroom for my home. My question is how and where do I bring in an accent color?
Would you share the name and company for the beige and white damask bedroom wallpaper ? Thanks
