Tonight is a special night for me.  I am receiving an award. And it’s not any ole award. Not even a design award.  It is an award for the B word. No not the one you are thinking that could also apply to me…I am talking about a Business Award!

And in thinking about what my remarks will be when I accept this award, I was reminded of one of my favorite movies, A Christmas Story.  Some of my favorite scenes from this classic 1983 film are about the “Major Award” and what it might be (“a bowling alley”) and culminate into one of the worlds greatest movie scenes ever involving the F-R-A-G-I-L-E item that turns out to be the iconic Leg Lamp!

For me, the major award is the “Entrepreneur of the Year” award from the Prestigious Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas where I received my MBA.  So tonight while I am giving my brief remarks, I can assure you I will be thinking about A Christmas Story and that lamp! I will fill you in on the details next week! But for now I am off to receive my “Major Award”.
