I am feeling a little blue this holiday, but it’s not because I am sad-it is quite the opposite actually. I am feeling like designing blue interiors, and I think I’m inspired by the new book Style and Substance, the Best of Elle Decor.
I was even feeling a little “blue” when I met Margaret Russell recently at the High Point Furniture market for a book signing of Style and Substance.
From first glance, Style and Substance sets the tone with an impressive blue cover, and the rest of the pages don’t disappoint all you blue enthusiasts out there.

I’ve been going through a blue period as well – I’ve been incorpating it into my living room and bedroom. Blue definitely offers a feeling of tranquility.

I love my Style and Substance. Many pages are dog-eared showing good use of it. I love your blog. I’m in Memphis, so pretty close by. I’m going to try to get over to Little Rock and see your shop. It looks wonderful. Congrats on getting it open.

The white room with the whispy-blue (what is the actual name of that color, I wonder?) fabric on the chairs and daybed… absolutely beautiful. All of the images are beautiful (I’m hoping Santa leaves Style and Substance under the tree for me), but that one really catches the eye.
