I’m dreaming of a white Christmas…white, sandy beaches that is!! I was so inspired by the photo from my Saturday blog post that I spent some time over the weekend looking at beach themed holiday decor.  Although I always enjoy looking at the holiday issue of Coastal Living Magazine, I have noticed more seaside inspirations popping up in other magazines this year.  I am sure that the explosion in popularity of coral as a design motif over the past few years and the availability of other sophisticated “beachy” decor like the amazing seafans made by designer Karen Robertson have made a natural transition into holiday designs.  And I, for one, am excited about it. 

There is no place more relaxing to me than the beach.  And though I usually only visit ocean-side retreats in the summer, I am now considering creating a “beach away from home” for my holiday decorations next year! I can just imagine how recreating a resort atmosphere could help relieve a little of the holiday stress!
